Grand opening of Masti Grill & Karaoke restaurant in the heart of Devon Avenue

Chicago IL: Mujeeb Ahmed and Tanveer Rather (Pappu) adventure to open restaurant in the heart of Devon Avenue. The Grand opening of Masti Grill & Karaoke restaurant which is located at 2948 West Devon Avenue, was on Thursday, October 17th 2013 at 7:00 PM. The celebration includes dinner and musical program by local artists to entertain the members and invited guests.

Masti-Karaoke is a group for “Any person” an amateur or professional, young or old, male or female, genuinely interested in listening and/or singing Bollywood or any Indian/Pakistani melody. The organizers for Masti-karaoke believe that there are many untapped singing talents within our Chicago Indian/Pakistani community. They are dedicated to helping truly talented individuals get over their shyness and bring out the hidden artist within themselves. They believe that it is never too late to realize ones passions and do something about it. They also believe that as a community we should encourage God given talents in others and help aspiring musical stars attain their dreams and goals no matter how old or young they are. At Masti-Karaoke they are one big “Music family”. People of different religions and cultures mingle together to share their love for music. Music or Sangeet is universally enjoyed. Everyone needs to express themselves and music can offer us that chance. It’s all about having fun. Masti-Karaoke’s interest is to promote Indian/Pakistani Culture, Indian/Pakistani Music, Bollywood songs and Make New Friends. They also go to musical events, parties, and Indian concerts.

Invited guest were from medical procession, education, sports, and business people including Dr. Siraj Ahmed, Shafqut Khan, Nabeela Rasheed, Dipak Lodhya, Kabir Chowdary, Mayur Ganger, Munir Chowdary, Bhupendra Singh, Imran Durany, Muzaffar Qureshi, Mukram, Sunil Shah, Vill Villas, Nalini Jadia, Dr. Ahmed, Faisal Fatani, Nasir Ahmed, Dr. Nizab Ahmed, Fouzia Passa, Atul Patel, Dipin, Nick Gandhi, Dr. Arun, Rocky Ravani Hina Trivedi Mahajit sing and Noman Khan.

Mujeeb and Tanveer both are music lovers and they have passion for food. Mujeeb is a founder of Masti Karaoke. On June 29, 2013 they celebrated 1st anniversary of Masti Karaoke. Masti grill and Karaoke is a place where music/food lovers can enjoy both at the same time. They have a variety of Indian and Pakistani cuisine vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods including seafood. Some of varieties are, Hyderabadi Biriyani, chicken 65, Vegetable Pakora, also serve Punjab ka Tadka (chicken dish). Also serving delicious desserts such as Kheer, Gulab Jambum, Lassi, Chai and soft drinks. Prices are very reasonable.

There is a parking lot in the back for approximately 30 cars. The restaurant has 3 huge monitors with American and Indian channels. Sport lovers can enjoy and sports broadcast on TV Channel. Complete sound system with 2 big speakers can be used to sing live songs. A special platform is setup for photographs, speeches, and sing songs. A projector and screen available for slide shows.

Masti grill and Karaoke is family restaurant. It can be used as a banquet hall for any part, entertainment with food, meetings, seminars, or any special occasion. Maximum capacity 100 people.

The evening started at 7:00 PM with a social hour featuring some tasty appetizers and premium drinks. Master of Ceremony for the occasion was Jee Va. She kicked off the program by welcoming everyone to the Grand opening of Masti Grill & Karaoke restaurant.
Invited guest congratulated with best wishes at the podium. Some brought wine/flowers for appreciation. Both partners Mujeeb’s and Tanveer’s mother, Rahe Munnifa and Asifia Rather, cut ribbon during the grand opening.

“Mujeeb is not a singer however he is founder of Masti karaoke for all the singers who has passion is music. Majority of the time when new organization they have a personal interest. Mujeeb may not be a singer but still he opened Masti Karaoke for platform of music lovers” said by Bhupendra Singh

Singers Bhupendra Singh, Mahajit sing, Imran Durany, Muzaffar Qureshi, Dr. Siraj Ahmed and Noman Khan. mesmerized the audience with their God gifted voice. The impressive and noteworthy thing about this talented group of singers is their dedication and love for music. The audience had the opportunity to listen to top Bollywood songs from Asha Bhosle to Shreya Ghoshal and Kishore Kumar to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The singers practiced and rehearsed for several weeks to give their best performance and make this event a great success. DJ did excellent job keeping up with all the demands by so many different singers at The Grand opening of Masti Grill & Karaoke restaurant.

FIA President Hina Trivedi gave special award to Mujeeb Ahmed for his community work. Special thanks to all invited guest and attendees, they made the evening all the more special.The evening concluded with buffet dinner and thank you speech by Dr. Siraj Ahmed and Mujeeb Ahmed.
