Youth honor Unconditional Love given by Mothers
Chicago IL: The youth group of Hari Om mandir celebrated Mothers Day on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the temple. Mandir’s priest Shastri Yogesh Pandya and Pt. Dinesh kumar did a havan and puja for the well being of all mothers.
Tushar Sharma president of the youth group started the program by saying “A mother is the greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If we only comprehend a 10th of what our mothers do for us, and how they would literally die for us if needed, we would realize that one day is not sufficient. This relationship is sacred let us honor our mothers. A mother who always cares, a mother who’s always there, a mother who always prays, a mother who always stays, when things get rough, when life gets tough.” Followed with a dhun ‘Jai Ambe Maa Sherawalee’ played on keyboard and vocals by Babu Sarkar and Divya Maheshwari. Ansh and Anoushka Salwan recited a few chaupaies of Hanuman Chalissa. Hari Om Mandir’s Balvikas kids (Manav, Navansh, Vanshika and others) sang the prayer, ‘Daya kar Dan bhakti ka humey parmatma dena.”. Divya Maheshwari recited a poem on mother. Chaitanya Kharat played keyboard and sang the bhajan “Achutam Keshavam”. Followed by a Devi Bhajan “Bigdi meri bana de Ae sherowali Maiya’ sung by Babu Sarkar. Romani Kala beautifully danced on song “Maiya Yoashoda Ye tera Kanaiha”. Followed with a few words on mother by Navansh Paul and Ridhima Sharma. Balvikas kids prepared flower basket in the class which was presented by kids to their mothers. The youth program dedicated to Mother’s ended with the dhun ‘Jai ambe Maa Sherawalee’.
President Brij Sharma thanked all the kids and the youth of Hari Om Mandir for organizing such an exciting program. In his speech he also mentioned “A mother has so much of affection for her kids that she can go upto any extent of sacrifice, if need be’. Mandir’s BOT Chairman Ayodhia Salwan started his speech by praying all the Devi maa’s in the temple and also thanked all the kids for the good work and the love they had shown for their mothers. He also dedicated a song to mothers ‘Mawa thandiya Chava”. Mother who have always encouraged, inspired, loved and cared.
On this auspicious day two mothers- Raj Rawal and Anita Rawal was honored for their long dedicated contribution in the growth of the temple. Singla family and Garg family was also thanked and recognised for their continous food donation once a month for a period of more than 10 years.
Finally the special eggless fruit CAKE was cut by Raj & Anita Rawal in the presence of both EB and BOT board members in the honor of all mothers. Youth committee members distributed flowers to all the mothers in the congregation.
Both the boards congratulated the participants and Youth committee members- Tushar Sharma (President), Aman Bhardwaj, Riya Sharma, Devanshu Bharel, Babu Sarkar, Vikrant Sarkar, Lakshay Sharma, Divya Maheswari, Chaitanya Karath for organizing such a succesful event.
The congregation was ended with the Aarti, followed by Lunch maha prasad.
