Celebrating Success with Sunderkand

A remarkable journey that started 25 years ago with our first ever publication Sandesh USA Inc Since then, the group has organized countless successful events, concerts, cultural shows that brought the Indian traditions to America Chicago, IL – Hi India, the trusted publication of Indian Americans, recently marked one of its biggest milestones with a devotional Sunderkand event that was much loved by the community. To celebrate its 25 successful years in media and event management, the weekly newspaper and publishing house invited world famous devotional singer and garba exponent Atul Purohit all the way from India. The Sunderkand event took place at St Louis on July 29, which saw an attendance of more than 600 people. The religious event then had its another edition at Chicago  at Hanuman Temple of Greater Chicago, Glenview, IL. where more than 1000 people gathered to hear the singer and his unique rendition. On July 31, at Dallas more than 800 people turned up to watch this rare symphony of devotional piece that was masterfully executed by Atul Purohit. Chicago Hurricanes won the game by 65 runs Chicago IL: Hurricanes lead by Pruthvish Patel opened their season against Chicago Phantoms who came into this game with a huge win from their previous matchup with Destroyers. The Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision seemed like a good idea since some of the key players on the team did not show up for the opening. Salman Ahmed and Dhairya Mistry opened the innings. Salman who is known to open on mostly all the teams that he has played on could not hold his end for more than 4 balls. Jasim Sajjad managed to get another wicket right after by taking Sargam Patel for a duck. Samir Chaudhari sunk his teeth into the attack when he took out the left hander Jay Patel for a duck soon after. Dhairya continued on his crusade with very little help from Jash Patel who succumbed to Jasim as well. Ravi Shah who came in next, struck it out for a fifty six run partnership. Skokie Sports was lit up with new LED lights on six light poles. The cricket pitch had ample of light in the middle, which eliminates an issue that most players face when they bat on any of the grounds in Chicagoland. The players and team owners were absolutely thrilled at the new addition to infrastructure which has been overlooked by many organizers. CPL owner Adil Azeem Khan said, “This is just the beginning of better cricketing infrastructure in Chicago and that he has planned several more improvements along the way to wow the Chicago crowd.” Chicago Phantoms and Chicago Destroyers opened the 2022 Chicago Premier League (CPL) season. He is the youngest ever and the 1st American to be a “Leo-Lion Liaison” representing the youth around the world. Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organization in the world. The event, held at the grounds of the local White Eagle elementary school, was attended by over four hundred people from White Eagle and the surrounding neighborhoods. Eid, meaning ‘celebration’ or ‘festival’, is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims. There are two dedicated times of Eid in Islam that Muslims celebrate. Eid ul-Fitr, sometimes called ‘small Eid’, is celebrated to commemorate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Rita and Anshika Singh launched the academy at the start of the pandemic as a way for both kids and adults to get active while needing to stay indoors. Rita Singh is an incredibly creative entrepreneur, investor, and community leader based in Chicago. Her brand, S R, houses a variety of her own companies that fall under the domains of IT staffing, real estate, and entertainment. Her daughter, Anshika Singh is a technology consultant at a Fortune 500 company. She is also a Purdue graduate, former Femina Miss India finalist, and talented dancer. All their classes were initially taught virtually over Zoom for the first 12 months to ensure the safety of all students. BAPS hosted leaders of faith-based organizations at its centers across North America in ‘Unity Forums’ to have a dialogue on protecting and preserving Vedic Sanatana Dharma and to discuss public safety and other challenges affecting places of worship in the presence of renowned scholar of Hindu Philosophy and Sanskrit, Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami. In the Northeast region, three events were organized: Long Island, NY, Robbinsville, NJ, and Washington DC, attended by representatives from over 100 mandirs and organizations. “I am very humbled, truly privileged, and extremely honored to welcome you all to our 201st Bicentennial Stated Meeting by the Medical Society of The County of Kings and the Academy of Medicine of Brooklyn,” said Dr. Jagdish K. Gupta, a committed and highly regarded physician with a history of professional achievement and humanitarian philanthropy, who was inducted as the 174th President of the Medical Society of County of Kings (MSCK) on May 25th, 2022.Dr. Gupta was addressing the delegates at the 201st Annual Stated Meeting of MSCK as a Bicentennial Event in person, after two years hiatus due to COVID Pandemic at El Caribe Country Club in Brooklyn, NY with full regalia. “The COVID-19 pandemic upended the rhythms of our personal and professional lives.
