Medstar Laboratory, Inc. celebrate

Chicago IL: On Saturday, September 24th 2011, Naren Patel alongside his two sons, Neal and Raj Patel hosted Medstar Laboratory’s annual party this year on the infamous boat, “Spirit of Chicago” at Navy Pier in celebration of Medstar’s soaring success and hard dedicated work throughout its ownership under the Patel family.

Medstar Laboratory, Inc. is obviously a remarkable company, showing true strength in a time where many companies are unable to overcome these economic times. Medstar Laboratory, Inc.’s business has grown dramatically, allowing the Medstar family to “give back” to the community at the same time. Last year, Medstar Laboratory, Inc. held its party at its newly built, technologically advanced facility in Hillside, Illinois.

The party was eventful as it started boarding at 7:00 pm and once all guests had come onto the ship. At 7:30 the
introduction to the party began with Naren Patel’s sister, Beena taking the microphone and immediately clutching the attention of all those on board. Beena spoke about the Medstar family and how they have grown to such extremes as a result of their loyal clients and dedicated staff. She continued by acknowledging that this event was to exemplify Medstar’s sincere appreciation for their clients’ loyal support.

Beena then introduced a notable Chicago icon, Ravi Baichwal, who is an anchorman and field reporter for Chicago’s ABC Channel 7 news. Ravi spoke about how he has become close friends with the Patel family over a period of time and how he appreciates their drive and kindness/generosity through their actions in the community.

Dr. Yash Amin addressed the audience thereafter. Dr. Amin is the Director of Drug Compliance for the State of Illinois and is a close, childhood friend of Mr. Naren Patel. Dr. Amin spoke about the way Medstar Laboratory has grown and how it has developed into the leading regional laboratory within the last 10 years. A notable statement by Dr. Amin was that “Medstar Laboratory is driven by a single mantra and that is “Quality” which is remembered long after the price is forgotten. It is these values and ethics that form the foundation of this company.”

Other notable guests who were in attendance at this soiree were the Honorable Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County Dorothy Brown, Dr. Robert Schaffer who is the Associate Medical Coordinator for the State of Illinois, and Mr. Fred Moody who is an Associate Director at the Cook County Clerk’s office and also served as Co-Master of Ceremony for the evening.

Medstar Laboratory’s President and CEO, Mr. Naren Patel, closed out the speeches by thanking his 2 sons, Neal and Raj, for “taking the bull by the horn” and leading the company to such extreme levels. He also thanked his wife, Sumitra, and daughter-in-laws Sonal and Nisha for always standing beside them and supporting their dedication and long hours. Mr. Patel closed by thanking the Medstar staff and Clients for their continued loyalty and dedication. He stated, “Without you, Medstar would not be at the highest level of success that it is.”

The evening continued with a delicious dinner spread, excellent music and wonderful socializing.

Though downtown Chicago is absolutely stunning from any view, perhaps the most beautiful view was from the top deck of the “Spirit of Chicago”. Shortly after the boat set sail, the beautiful Chicago Skyline was set ablaze with bright, colorful fireworks. Simply put, the evening was extraordinary just like Medstar Laboratory’s motto: “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little EXTRA”.
