Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Mesmerizes Chicago Music Lovers

Chicago IL: Co-hosted by Saahil Exclusive, L.A. Tan “Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Live in Concert” is a collective effort of Bhavesh Patel, Babubhai Patel, Mayur and Nick Patel. The legendary singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan rocked Sears Center Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Pkwy, Hoffman Estates, IL on 8:30 PM, Friday, May 17, 2013 with yet another unforgettable concert. Chicago saw one of the finest concerts of all times. Khan mesmerizes the enthusiastic crowd of more than 5000 listeners for about 4 hours. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang hits from various Bollywood films which rocked the crowd.

He was received by the audience with standing ovation and sang hits from various Bollywood films which rocked the crowd and kept the audience spellbound. This was undoubtedly one of the finest performances by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan of ALL time; and why not? Since this was his 50th Concert Celebration Night. Khan Sahab made it very clear in the beginning of the concert, as soon as he arrived on stage, that tonight it’s not just going to be a concert; it will be a celebration and he wanted all his fans and every member in the audience to be part of this happiness, since everyone played a huge role in his success.

Couple of days ago in a press conference when Khan Sahab was asked, “what should his fans expect from this upcoming concert?”, he promised everyone that it’ll be one of those concerts, which Chicago has never seen in the past – Better than all his concerts in the past, as it’s going to be his 50th Concert if this year from May 2012 to May 2013. This was a big statement as Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been performing in Chicago for many years; and every year we have witnessed a grand and house full show. He also mentioned that it’s always a treat to perform for his fans in Chicago and they never disappoint him. But still the media and people in the press meet were wondering how it is possible? And can it be better than his past performances? But we have to admit that “Khan Sahab is a man of his words”. He put his heart and soul into this “50th Concert Celebration” Concert and made it WAY better than all his previous concerts in not only Chicago, but in the entire North America. The night was so energetic that people were not only dancing in their own seats, but also there was a huge crowd gathered in front of the main stage.

The concert started off with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan singing his Uncle “Nusrath Fateh Ali Khan’s” song “Allah Hu” which set the “Mahool” from the word GO. The audience knew right away that tonight’s going to be legendary. His songs selections were cut above the class. He not only entertained the traditional music lovers and mature audience, but also connected equally with young generation and romantic music lovers with his hit numbers from Bollywood. As we mentioned earlier, the order in which he sang was just too good for any kind of crowd – It was a true win-win concept. Some of the songs he sang were “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain”, “Aas Paas hai Khuda”, “Dil Tou Bachcha Hai Ji”, “Aaj Din Chadheya”, “Teri Ore”, “Main Jahaan Rahoon”, “Surili Akhiyon Wali”, “Teri Meri Prem Kahaani”, “O re Piya, “Afreen Afreen”, etc.

Three songs before the end of the concert, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan introduced his entire team to the audience, and also got on stage his manager and the local promoters “Bhavesh Patel and Babu Patel” of Sahil; and “Mayur Patel and Nick Patel” of L.A.Tan. Bhavesh took the opportunity and thanked his entire team for their hard work and support; and everyone who came out to watch the show. He then invited Farath Hussain on stage to join the team. Nick Patel then thanked the crowd and said, “I think you all will agree with me on this, I have done over 50 shows by now, but in none of the shows I saw the magic what I saw today, right?” and the crowd started clapping and agreeing. He also said, “I believe if there is anyone who has the gift of God, then it’s Mr. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan”. He then went and shook hands with the legend (Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan).

Khan Sahab continued with the concert and sang couple more songs. He ended the evening with “Dam Mast Khalandar” and the crowd went insane. Every person in the arena was on their feet and was dancing. There was a huge crowd dancing in front of the stage. Everyone gave Rahat Fateh Ali Khan a standing ovation when he was leaving the stage. Once again, it was one of the best concerts of all time. After the end of the concert, Noman Khan of “The Khan Show” took a quick interview of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan backstage where he talked about his great experience with team “Sahil and L.A.Tan” and how they are one of the finest promoters in North America. In simple words, it was a phenomenal concert by the musical genius who never misses a chance to entertain and mesmerize his fans, the great khandani singer from Pakistan – Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Rahet Fateh Ali khan is the only artist in the whole world who started his musical training at the age of 3. Under the tutelage of his illustrious uncle, he went on to do his first stage performance at the age of 11. After two decades of captivating performances for international audiences, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is today a star in his own right, one whose art is thoroughly appreciated worldwide.

Amognst his most notable achievements is his contribution to the soundtrack for the 1995 Hollywood film Dead Man walking in Collaboration with Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam, alongside his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh ali Khan. In 2002, he worked on the sound track of four Feathers in collaboration with James Honor. Most recently, he worked with Mel Gibson, providing backing vocals for the sound track of Apocalypto. In addition to the above, Rahet Fateh Ali khan has received many nominations and awards in India for his soulful music.
