The event was sold out with over a 100 people in the audience!!! Valentines’ Day is celebrated with much pomp and fun in every nook and corner of Chicago land and across the America. Over one dozen events primarily catered to South Asian-Americans were held in Chicago land area. Among all these events, the choice of audience was ‘Masti-Karaoke’s Valentine’s Party’ voted as one of the best Valentine’s Party in town. All the singers from Masti-Karaoke mesmerized the enthusiastic crowd for over 4 hours. The audience was not only pleased with the performance, but applauded both old and new Bollywood romantic songs. With passion and love filling the air, couples danced to their hearts content. With red heart shaped balloons symbolizing deep and undying promises of love, the evening presented a romantic feel. Dress code for ladies and gentlemen was Red and Black. Tickets for Valentine’s was $25 per person (dinner included) and $15 for children.

Celebrated February 14 every year, the Valentine’s Day is synonymous with expressions of love, friendship and bonding. It is named for Saint Valentine, a patron of love. On this day people exchange beautiful flowers or chocolates, go for a lunch or dinner at a Restaurant and make time to be with their special loved ones.

“In our hectic schedule we hardly get quality time to spend with each other,” Sunil Shah former president of New FIA told Asian Media USA. “Valentine’s Day is a good excuse to make that time and get the romance back.”

Masti-Karaoke is a group for “Any person” an amateur or professional, young or old, male or female, genuinely interested in listening and/or singing Bollywood or any Indian/Pakistani melody. The organizers for Masti-karaoke believe that there are many untapped singing talents within our Chicago Indian/Pakistani community. They are dedicated to helping truly talented individuals get over their shyness and bring out the hidden artist within themselves. They believe that it is never too late to realize ones passions and do something about it. They also believe that as a community we should encourage God given talents in others and help aspiring musical stars attain their dreams and goals no matter how old or young they are. At Masti-Karoke they are one big “Music family”. People of different religions and cultures mingle together to share their love for music. Music or Sangeet is universally enjoyed. Everyone needs to express themselves and music can offer us that chance. It’s all about having fun.
