Abundance of talent show cased at Naya Andaz 2012

New Brunswick, NJ: This was the twentieth year presentation of Naya Andaz Dance competition. NAYA ANDAZ is the brainchild of 1947 Production & Entertainment, Inc., a U.S. based production house. Both the show and the company have continually grown with each other. The years of continuous enthusiasm and zeal is reflected in the quality of the show, which has bettered with each year.

Team Naya Andaz hosted the unparalleled, spectacular 20th Annual Naya Andaz Dance competition at the most prestigious and popular State Theater, New Brunswick, New Jersey on the evening of Saturday, March 24th. Bollywood’s internationally renowned luminaries and celebrities, gorgeous actress Manisha Koirala as Chief Guest, and Legendary choreographer, producer, and director Farah Khan as the Guest of Honor, all attended this sold out show. Petite, beautiful Kavita Kaushik (FIR – Serial famed) wonderfully hosted the entire 4 hour long show with her talents, artistic brilliance and grace. Also veteran Nisha Mathur (AVS Channel host) lent her experience and expertise in co-hosting this increasingly popular and demanding show. The highlights of this 20th annual show are plenty and note worthy. Every year the participating groups exhibit a wide range of artistic brilliance, enthusiasm, grit, determination and an immense reservoir of talents and choreography. Unlike the past, this year the organizers have invited selected groups to participate in Junior (below 15 years) and Senior categories (15 to 20 years) as well as initiating a new category known as “Elite” (20 years and above).

Naya Andaz team revolutionized the entire presentation by introducing choreographers on the almost 40 foot screen on stage and repeatedly appreciating gracious contributions not only by corporate and individual sponsors which include industry giants like Qatar Airways, Sony Entertainment Television Asia, IREO, Star TV, Black Wireless, TV Asia, Zee TV, Aapka Colors, AVS Television Network, Kohinoor Foods, India Abroad & Rediff.com, T.K travel, Chowpatty Restaurant & Caterers, Royal Albert’s Palace but also to the team Naya Andaz who have made Naya Andaz Dance competition a pioneering, premier, perennial source of inspiration to other similar organizers in society today.

The event was preceded by showing some highlight dances by the last year winner groups in the various categories. Charming Manisha Koirala, Legendary Farah Khan and dynamic Kavita Kaushik joined in lamp lighting for this colossal 20th Annual event. Both Manisha and Farah acted as the traditional judges for this event.

The first half of the show show consisted of 6 renowned groups in the Junior category. Each one exhibited an abundance of talents, Innovative choreography and unprecedented pride in being Indians. The colorful costumes, song selection, efficient and attractive stage decoration, professional lighting and sound system enhanced the visual impact of the entire show.

After the intermission, a traditional senior category comprising of 6 renowned groups mesmerized the audience by their energetic, all-round superb performances. In the words of Farah Khan and Manisha Koirala most of the items presented were mind boggling.

Newly introduced 3rd category “Elite” was a delightful welcome addition to Naya Andaz’s stature and popularity.

Piraan Erachshaw along with his visionary colleague Albert Jasani, Raju Sethi, and Sandip Patel expressed their gratitude to all Naya Andaz sponsors, choreographers, participants, state theater management, all parents and the vast and vibrant team of volunteers for their untiring, loyal, continued support in making Naya Andaz Dance Competition a role model for other organizations. Rahul Dholakia, a winner of the prestigious National Award of Best film director could not attend due to prior commitments in India.

All the sponsors and guests were recognized and honored with awards. The winners of Best Choreography, Costume and talents in all the categories were also awarded their respective prizes. Raju Sethi (AVS), the founding member, announced a special 2 months free showing of the activities of the first prize winner group in both junior and senior categories on its increasingly popular weekly AVS network. Incidentally both Naya Andaz and Farah Khan have achieved a distinction of 20 years of glorious contribution in their respective arena.
