A Hilarious Spectacular Gujarati Comedy Play “Ja Tari Sathe Kitta” attracts over 600 people

Itasca, IL: As what the famous philosopher Lao Tzu once said, there are millions of ways one could look at a certain thing. The same is also applicable to plays as in this case the play, entitled “Ja Tari Sathe Kitta”, staged last Friday at Shree Swaminarayan Temple, 21W 710 Irving Park Road, Itasca, IL. Ticket: $30 and up including dinner. The play is about Manav Dholakia who is awarded for his business ventures and he is one of the top notch industrialists living happily with wife, two children and his father. There is a party for his achievements and the who’s who of the society is invited. A stranger Ms. Meera lands up at the party. Everyone is stunned with this unknown guest who comes and unveils Manav’s past. A series of misunderstandings create havoc in his life which transforms into a roller-coaster ride. A series of misunderstandings and comedy of errors takes over transforming this play as a robustly enjoyable romantic comedy for all to enjoy.

This situation comedy depicts how the relationship between two persons can be broken, especially how others can know that the relationship is completely broken? Can a truthfully developed relation be completely destroyed? What would be the situation when a closely related person in the past suddenly appears then? Baliwala Theatre’s latest presentation “Ja Tari Sathe Kitta” has up with a story like this.

Director Feroz Bhagat says, this play is a social comedy. The hero of the play is a happily married man and a father of two children. In his family, he has father too. The hero is an outspoken person, but believes in ethics. He is a loyal husband, who never flirts with other women. He receives the best citizen award and the party in his honor is going on full fledge as the drama unfolds. All of a sudden a beautiful lady is entering the party. She has come from America and she used to be the lover of the hero. How her sudden appearance creates havoc in the hero’s life, is the theme of this hilarious comedy! Davdas movie song “Mar dala” was extremely funny. Audience request once more twice (Total 3 times perform on stage).

Writer Imtiaz Patel observes, “Here is Drama and emotions. Comedy is not produced by design, but it is natural. Apra Mehta plays the role of the leading lady with Feroz. The play contains all elements of entertainment. Feroz Bhagat adds that Subhash Ashaer has prepared different kinds of sets. The dialogues written by Imtiaz Patel are sharp and humorous. Single-liners are wonderful.

The roles of Kosha Munshi, Pritesh Sodha, Ashok Upadhyay and Khushbu are highly complementing each other. The music in the play has been given by Bittu Merchant. The inauguration of the play “Ja Tari Sathe Kitta” was held in Nehru Auditorium.

Written by Feroz Bhagat, its cast includes himself and Apara Mehta, in leading roles, complimented with well known talents like Kosha Munshi, Pritesh Sodha, Ashok Upadhyay, and Kushbu Amit Divetia. The show was house full with over 600 enthusiasts jam-packing the auditorium.

The group is currently touring the U.S., and has scheduled approximately 40 shows all over USA. Written by Feroz Bhagat, its cast includes himself and Apara Mehta in leading roles, complimented by well known talents like Kosha Munshi, Pritesh Sodha, Ashok Upadhyay, and Kushbu Amit Divetia. The show in Houston was house full with over 600 enthusiasts jam-packing the auditorium.

The play was presented by Bhupen Patel of Bluestar Mortgage and Manpasand Inc that promotes Indian culture through stage and Music. Baliwala Theatre presentation “Ja Tari Sathe Kitta”, a super hit Gujarati play, is visiting USA. Shows are managed by Manpasand Inc. The group has its debut in Houston with a standing ovation. There will be 25 straight shows from there onwards. Show will be performed in Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Indianapolis, New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Boston, Tampa, Orlando, Toronto, Atlanta, Baltimore, Raleigh, Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, Nashville, Louisville & many other cities throughout the USA and Canada.
