Chicago IL: Hi India, Sixgam Patidar Samaj of Chicago presented Dandiya Dhoom with Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak on Saturday, November 03, 2012 at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N River Rd, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018. Ticket charges were $20 (Advance and Online) $25 at the Door. The Convention Center was fully crowded with over enthusiastic people of all ages encompassing the whole arena with more than 5000 present. Participants enjoyed clapping, dancing, moving and playing Garbas and Raas in full swing up to 1-30 am, when it was closed on account of time.
Falguni Pathak’s name is synonymous with fantastic beats, powerful melodious voice and of course Navratri and Dandiya. Falguni Pathak performed her new list of Gujarati folk tales and hit songs from latest upcoming Bollywood movie releases. With the right blend of her heart-filling compositions to romantic lyrics and melodic voice Falguni Pathak surely enthralled all.

Six Gam Patidar Samaj (SGPS) is a Community Organization of people from the greater CHICAGO area, who are from the State of Gujarat, India. Six Gam Patidar Samaj (SGPS –CHICAGO) was incorporated in 1982 to promote inter-cultural understanding and to preserve the culture, social and academic activities for Six Gam Patidar community in Greater Chicago land and surrounding areas. Six Gaam Patidar Samaj of Chicago was founded on the basis of sharing, teaching, and learning more about our ancestral roots and passing them on to the coming generations. Their members belong to one of six ancestral gams; Bhadran, Dharmaj, Nadiad, Karamsad, Sojitra and Vaso. Through social events, geared towards family and youth programs, they are creating new and innovative ways of spreading their knowledge, roots, and culture. From their yearly Picnic to Diwali Celebrations, They have events that cater to all ages and strive to maintain growing their reach more and more every day. They also work to offer the youth growth opportunities in Education through Scholarship Program, which is awarded yearly. Comprised of members who serve their community professionally and personally, SGPS Chicago is a great place to make new friends, contacts, and join one big happy family. Six Gam Patidar Samaj strives to instill moral, cultural, and higher education values in younger generation. The Samaj become a platform for youths to meet and create life-lasting bonds.
It’s that time of the year again, the biggest Dandiya Dhamaka of Chicago. People thronged in large number and joined and enjoyed dancing and fun with friends, family and of course dance to the famous songs of all times by Ms. Falguni Pathak. She enthralled the audience with her lively performance on the sets for a special Navratri episode, which will be on air on Saturday. Big B welcomed viewers by saying, Ambe mata ki jai. Falguni, known for belting vivacious numbers such as Yaad piya ki aane lagi and Maine payal hai chankai, uplifted everyone’s mood as she sang Odhni. She was accompanied by dancers who were dressed in bright traditional attires. Falguni Pathak, rightly coined as the undisputed ‘Queen of Dandiya’ is a favorite personality in the Dandiya world. A very talented and energetic performer, Falguni is considered as a ‘Diva’ amongst today’s young generation. She is not just famous for her powerful vocal talents but also for her stage appearance and entertainment. She is one of the most noted and respected singers in India and abroad with a lot of fan-following. She could be rightly called today’s ‘mover & shaker’ in the field of Dandiya.
She was backed by a powerful and dedicated band ‘Ta Thaiyaa’ which provided the required punch to make the show a grand success. With a long list of shows in India and abroad Falguni has come a long way since she started off as a Dandiya singer. Now there is an added achievement in her success story. Falguni has released a pop album of which ‘Yaad Piya Ki Ane Lagi’ has become a chartbuster.
Falguni Pathak born March 12, 1964, is an acclaimed singer and is performing artist from India, based in Mumbai. Her music is based on traditional musical forms from the Indian State of Gujarat. Since her professional debut in 1998, she has developed into an artist with a large fan base across India. Her debut album was released in 1998, and she has also recorded numerous songs for Bollywood movies. Many people started buying her albums too. The theme of most of her songs is love. She has performed in many shows in India and other countries, backed by a band called Ta Thaiyaa. She recently appeared on ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Falguni has chosen her career as a Pop Singer. Falguni Pathak has given so many hit albums. Her debut album was “Yaad Piya ki Aane lagi”
